Summer Film Camp
In this 4 week camp you will learn how to write better dialogue, design better shots, create better lighting, work with your actors for better performances, edit, score and mix during our Motion Picture Development Camp. Learn the basics to what it takes to become a Hollywood Professional filmmaker! Camp is open for ages 6 to adult.
MPD Kids Club
MPD Film Club is structured around the production of short video narratives of increasing complexity. Each video narrative is screened and critiqued in class with the instructor. Student’s will take an in depth look into the filmmaking process. This is a project based learning program. The student’s will be able to contribute to the development of LA&E’s Televised After School Specials.
ACTING
All our acting classes are on-camera and our acting students use their filmed scenes to get agents and managers. Our acting classes gives you the on-camera acting, audition. scene study, and cold reading skills you need to effectively compete to get work. In our acting classes you always act from film and TV scripts. Now enrolling!
CINEMATOGRAPHY
AMPD can teach you the creative process to make independent films – from lighting, scripting, and HD video production, to shooting in a variety of styles for cinematic and commercial projects. You'll be able to share projects and get feedback from your peers through AMPD's Online platform, and build a diverse digital portfolio to help promote your finished work.
EDITING
Learn the art of editing while working on a real movie during our Editing Course, which brings together independent filmmakers who need their movies edited and beginning editors who need the chance to learn on a feature film. Cutting a real film -- for a real director -- is the only way to immerse yourself in the field and learn the skills you'll need to start your career.
CINEMATIC LIGHTING
In this class you will learn the principles of light and get comfortable with the technical side of things by shooting in a controlled environment then move on to shooting real people/models using multiple lights and modifiers to create depth, dimension and mood on demand in a variety of locations…
SOUND FOR PICTURES
Learn to record, mix, engineer, produce, and create music and sound for the music industry, movies, video games, and more. Work on the same audio equipment the professionals use, gain knowledge from industry-experienced instructors, and develop your talent for the recording arts.
Acting for Kids
Camera presence, personality, command, style, attitude, consistency, versatility, and experience in front of the camera are all scrutinized. That's why we make sure your performance is top-notch. The participants of our 14-week kids club classes learn and perform scripts that are televised during our weekly Educational and Instructional Broadcasts.
